What does a position coach do?

A position coach is responsible for developing and preparing a particular group of players. Examples include quarterbacks, offensive line, defensive line, linebackers, and defensive backs coaches.

The coach teaches technique, installs assignments, leads individual drills, reviews film, helps build the game plan, and gives players corrections. Position coaches also communicate player progress and readiness to the coordinators and head coach.
