What is a fantasy football bench?

A fantasy football bench contains players on your roster whose points normally do not count for the current matchup. Bench players provide depth behind the starters.

Managers use bench spots for injury replacements, bye-week coverage, developing players, and players whose roles may grow. Bench size is set by the league, and players should be moved into eligible starting positions before their lineup spots lock.
