What is the NFL?

The NFL, or National Football League, is a professional American football league made up of 32 member clubs. Its teams compete in the AFC and NFC under common playing, roster, scheduling, and business rules.

The NFL season includes preseason games, an 18-week regular-season schedule in which each club plays 17 games, and a postseason tournament. The AFC and NFC champions meet in the Super Bowl to decide the league champion.
