What are NFL power rankings?

NFL power rankings are subjective or model-based evaluations that order teams from strongest to weakest. They may consider record, opponent quality, point differential, efficiency, injuries, quarterback play, and recent performance.

Unlike standings, power rankings are not official and do not determine playoff qualification. Different publishers can reasonably produce different orders because they choose different evidence, weights, and balances between current results and expected future performance.
