How Fantasy Football Matchups Work
Most fantasy football leagues use weekly head-to-head matchups. Your active lineup earns points from that week's NFL games, and the total is compared with one opponent. The higher score receives a win.
The schedule
The fantasy platform creates a schedule for the regular season. You may face every manager once, repeat some opponents, or play against a league median in addition to a direct opponent if custom rules are enabled.
Results and corrections
A matchup remains live until all relevant games finish. Official stat corrections can occasionally change a close score afterward. The league settings determine ties and standings tiebreakers.
Focus on setting the strongest lineup rather than trying to match each opposing player. Your decisions control your own scoring opportunities, not the opponent's final total.
