How Kickers Score Fantasy Points

Kickers score fantasy points by making extra points and field goals. A common system awards one point for an extra point and at least three points for a field goal.

Distance scoring

Some leagues award three points for shorter field goals, four for kicks from 40 to 49 yards, and five for kicks of 50 yards or more. Other leagues use fractional distance scoring. Missed kicks may subtract points depending on distance.

Evaluating kickers

Opportunity depends on the NFL offense reaching scoring range, the coach choosing to attempt field goals, weather, stadium conditions, and the kicker's accuracy and range.
