How Waivers Work

Waivers are the process a fantasy league uses to award unrostered players. Instead of every player becoming immediately available, managers submit claims during a waiting period.

Waiver priority

Some leagues award a player to the manager with the highest priority. Successful claimants may move to the back of the order, or priority may reset according to standings.

FAAB waivers

Other leagues give each manager a Free Agent Acquisition Budget. Managers submit blind bids, and the highest valid bid wins. Tiebreakers are controlled by league settings.

After processing

Unclaimed players often become free agents and can be added immediately. Dropped players may enter a new waiver period.
