How should partial-season stats be compared?

Compare partial-season totals with their workload: games played, snaps, attempts, or touches. A player with fewer games has had less time to accumulate production, while an unusually good short stretch may exaggerate a rate statistic.

For example, 600 yards in eight games and 900 in twelve both equal 75 yards per game. That does not guarantee equal future performance. Consider changing roles, opponent strength, and availability, and label any full-season projection as an estimate.
