What does a minimum qualifying threshold mean?

A minimum qualifying threshold sets how many opportunities a player must have before appearing among a leaderboard's qualified players. It commonly applies to averages or rates, where a very small sample can produce an extreme result.

For example, one long carry should not automatically make a player the season's leading rusher by average. The required minimum depends on the statistic, time span, and publisher, so read the table's qualification note rather than assuming every leaderboard uses the same cutoff.
