Quarterback rating often means traditional NFL passer rating, but the phrase is not precise enough to identify a formula by itself. Check the column label or publisher's glossary.

Passer rating evaluates passing results and has a maximum of about 158.3. ESPN's Total QBR instead includes non-passing contributions and uses a 0–100 scale. Their numbers cannot be compared directly.
