What is the difference between per-game and season totals?

A season total shows everything accumulated across the season, while a per-game statistic shows the average for each game played. A player with 1,200 receiving yards in 16 games averages 75 receiving yards per game.

Totals reward both production and availability. Per-game figures can help compare players who appeared in different numbers of games, but small samples can be misleading. Games played, snaps, and opportunities should be considered alongside either measure.
