Fantasy Football · FAQ
What Is the Waiver Wire?
The waiver wire is the system used to claim players who are not currently on a fantasy roster.
When a player is on waivers, managers submit claims rather than adding the player immediately. The league then awards the player according to waiver priority or FAAB bids. After waivers process, unclaimed players may become free agents who can be added immediately.
Waiver timing and rules vary by platform. Some leagues reset priority weekly, some move successful claimants to the back of the order, and others give every manager a season-long FAAB budget. Waivers are an essential way to replace injured players and add emerging contributors after the draft.
