What Is FAAB?

FAAB means Free Agent Acquisition Budget. Each manager receives a budget for waiver claims, and managers submit blind bids on available players.

How bids work

The highest valid bid usually wins the player, and that amount is deducted from the manager's remaining budget. Ties follow the league's waiver tiebreaker. Some leagues allow zero-dollar bids; others require at least one unit.

Managing the budget

FAAB is limited but has no value after the season. Spend more when a rare, high-impact role becomes available and less when several similar alternatives exist. Consider what other managers can afford and how urgently your roster needs the player.

FAAB replaces or supplements waiver priority, so review the exact league rules before submitting claims.
